Harbor Watch Residence close to completion
Made a site visit yesterday to visit with the homeowner and walk through a relatively complete house! Things turned out great and I am excited to see furniture delivered and the interior to take shape. Check out these pics:
AIA Atlanta National Convention
Here are a few photos from my recent visit to Atlanta for the American Institute of Architects National Convention. The highlight was visiting the Martin Luther King Center and Ebenezer Baptist Church. Keynote speeches from President Bill Clinton and world renowned Architect Moshe Safdie wasn't half bad either. What a fantastic trip!!
President Clinton dares us architects to work harder to create buildings with low emissions and promote healthy growth.
Moshe Safdie! One of my FAVORITE Architects of all time. What a humble and wonderful human being.
A great reunion in Atlanta! My good friend (and fellow Architect) from the Bahamas flew in for the Conference. IRADEZ International's own Dezon Curry.
The Greatest. MLK.
Visit this place. It is good for the soul. Ebenezer Baptist Church.
At the King Center. Quite a place.
HOK's latest steel and glass structure. The Center for Civil and Human Rights.

This elevated, park under home is located along the Marshes of Beresford Creek here in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Special consideration and design standards are extremely important when your property is located in the flood plain. I will ensure the design of your home meets and exceeds the Local and National Code requirements.
"Damien Busillo has been a pleasure to work with. Although my husband and I have built four homes in the past this was our first experience with having a custom home design. He has been a great help in finding ways to convey exactly the design we wanted, working with builders in the bidding process, working to help us find the landscape designer that fits our tastes and working wit h our neighborhood ARB to help us get our design approved.
Damien has been very flexible to make changes in order to fit our needs and I know that the end product will be a home that we will be so proud to call our own. It's been a pleasure to work with him!"

Harbor Watch Residence Construction Update
Well, the windows have been installed and the liquid applied waterproofing membrane work continues. This 3-part process will inevitably provide an air tight seal to the exterior envelope of the home. This will equate to a 30-40% reduction in air infiltration....thus lowering the heating and cooling loads. I am excited to be a part of this innovative process courtesy of STO Corp.
